That’s why we are introducing Transport Type Templates for Lansen Gateway, making it easier for customers using gateways from other manufacturers to switch to Lansen while continuing to use their existing data formats and protocols (cloud/IoT platform).

We believe MQTT is the way forward for modern, flexible meter data communication. However, we know that not every customer is ready to migrate to MQTT today. Existing systems may already be configured to receive data via HTTP/HTTPS or FTP, using established file names and data formats.

 

With our new templates, you can now start using Lansen Gateway without having to make that migration immediately.

 

Simply select the appropriate transport type and template in Lansen Configurator, and the gateway can deliver meter data in the format your existing system already supports.

 

The gateway supports:

• MQTT

• HTTP/HTTPS

• FTP

For HTTP/HTTPS and FTP, meter data is delivered as CSV or XML files, with the file name and content format determined by the selected template.

 

Designed for compatibility

The new templates make it easier to replace gateways from other manufacturers while keeping your existing receiving system in place. Lansen Gateway is now compatible with established formats used by manufacturers such as Sensus, Elvaco and Diehl, as well as others.

This means you can make the switch to Lansen without having to change everything at once.

And when the time is right, you can migrate to MQTT and take advantage of a more modern communication setup.
